Our Story

The Dragon’s Den & Treasures was founded on owner Miranda Powell’s longtime dream of creating a distinctive gift shop for her local community. That dream has now come to life in her first brick-and-mortar store in historic Fredericksburg.

With the help of her daughter and extended family, Miranda has created a space filled with thoughtfully selected pieces—from sterling silver jewelry and authentic gemstones to charming knick-knacks and unique gifts. Every item in the shop is chosen with care, offering customers something truly special to take home.

The Dragon’s Den & Treasures is a small, family-run business led by women of color with rich Palestinian heritage. Shopping with a family-owned store brings a level of warmth and personal attention that large retailers simply can’t replicate.
